Reporter screen not displaying correctly in Windows 8

When you open MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Reporter in a Windows 8 or Server 2012, you may find that Reporter screen does not display correctly. For example the fields on the left may be blacked out so the text is unreadable.

MYOB has addressed this issue in MYOB AE Reporter 3.4. Please refer to the my.MYOB Product Downloads page, Australia or New Zealand to download the latest release.

If the issue persists, see below.

To fix the issue
  1. Press the Windows key and type regedit, then press ENTER. The Registry Editor screen appears.
  2. Navigate to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors. The Colors key appears.
  3. Double click on the string called InactiveTitleText. The InactiveTitleText details appear.
  4. Enter a value of 128 128 128 and press OK.Note: Ensure there is a single space between each value.
  5. Reboot the machine.The issue is resolved.
