Editing transactions for a client
You can edit transactions to the client’s tax ledger on the Tax Manager Transactions view or Reconciliation view. The following restrictions apply when editing transactions:
You cannot edit:
Reconciled transactions
Notice printed transactions
Draft return transactions
When editing a transfer, the reciprocal entries are updated.
You cannot change the payment Type of a transaction.
If you want to edit transactions for a different year, click on the year to open a drop-down list and select the required year.
Select the Tax Type for the transaction you want to edit.
Click on the transaction you want to edit.
When you click on a transaction, it becomes highlighted by a blue background and a triangle appears in the far left blue column. This means that the transaction has been selected for action.
Click Transactions > Edit item on the Tasks bar. The Edit Item window opens showing the details of the selected transaction.
Change the required information.
If you are editing a Transfer, changes to the fields in the Transfer Details area only update the information used in the transaction Description. You will need to manually update the reciprocal transaction. When you click OK, you will be prompted to do this.
Click OK to save your changes and close the window. The edited transaction is displayed.
