This support note describes how to prevent stock descriptions wrapping over two lines in the Customer-7 Lay-by detail report and ensure the report totals correctly.

This involves renaming the existing report template to keep it as a backup, then replace the template with the one attached to the bottom of this support note.

To do this:

  1. Close RetailManager.
  2. Simultaneously press the Windows and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The File Explorer window appears.
  3. Browse to the RetailM folder on your computer, by default this will be C:/RetailM. Double-click this folder to display its contents.
  4. Double-click the Reports folder to display its contents.
  5. Rename the file Customer-7 Lay-by Detailed.rpt to OLDCustomer-7 Lay-by Detailed.rpt. To do this, right-click the Customer-7 Lay-by Detailed.rpt file and choose Rename then rename accordingly. This ensures you will have a backup of this file.
  6. Right-click the attachment below (Customer-7 Lay-by Detailed.rpt) and choose to save the file to the C:/RetailM/Reports folder.
  7. Start RetailManager.
