Refreshing the System Services links in AO

This support note applies to:

  • AO Tax (AU)

In MYOB Accountants Office (AO) Tax you may be required to refresh the System Services links.

  • If the estimate is not generated when pressing F4 in a tax return
  • If the worksheet is not opening when clicking on a label.

The following instructions will step you through this process:

To refresh System Services links for current year

If you cannot generate a Tax Estimate for the current Tax Year follow the steps below. If you are attempting to generate a Tax Estimate for a prior year return, please skip to the next procedure.

  1. From within AO, follow the menu path: Maintenance > Maintenance Map.
  2. From the TASKS pane, click Tax.
  3. From the Maintenance Map - Tax tab, click Administration. The AO Tax xxxx window opens where xxxx is the current tax year.
  4. From the Utilities menu, select Special Routines.
  5. Select the Refresh System Services links option and click OK. The message "Cleared" appears.Click OK..

You have refreshed the system services links. You can now close the AO Tax xxxx window and generate a Tax Estimate.

To refresh System Services links for prior years
  1. In Windows Explorer navigate to your x:\MYOBAO\AOSQL\TAX or C:\MYOBAO\AOSQL\TAX folder, where X:\ or C:\ is where your AO is installed.
  2. Double-click the sr.exe file.

    1. If the Login Gateway window appears, enter the following credentials:

      • Usercode: SUPERVIS

      • Password: S6

  3. Double-click the folder called S6:\\<ServerName>\MSSQL\AOTAX1 where AOTAX1 is the name of your database. For example, AOTAX2, SQLTAX etc.
  4. Double click on the affected tax year. For example, Tax2016.
  5. From the Utilities menu, select Special Routines.
  6. Select the Refresh System Services links option and click OK. The message "Cleared" appears.
  7. Click OK.

You have refreshed the system services links. You can now generate a Tax Estimate.
