  • Exploring MYOB Essentials Cashbook

Before you start using MYOB Essentials Cashbook, you may want to understand how the various features are organised.

The My cashbooks page

The My cashbooks page is the first page you’ll see when you log in to MYOB Essentials Cashbook. You can also access this page using the My cashbooks icon ( ) that appears at the top right of any of MYOB Essentials Cashbook page.

The page shows you a list of all the client businesses that you manage or have access to. You can click on a business name to open the cashbook for the relevant business. You can also use the Banking or Settings button to go straight to those pages.

Opening the cashbook for a particular business

You can click on a business name to open the cashbook for the relevant business. The View and match transactions page appears by default.

The toolbar at the top will display the name of the business whose cashbook you have opened. It also gives you access to the Banking, Reports and Settings menus, and to the Journals page.

 

To return to your list of business, click the My cashbooks icon ( ) at the top right.

Tip: You can also quickly switch to another business by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the business name. The advantage of this is that the business cashbook will open at the same page you are currently viewing. So, if you are viewing the Cashflow report for a particular business, you can quickly switch to the Cashflow report for any other business.

Accessing your MYOB Essentials Cashbook account

Your company name appears at the top right of every MYOB Essentials Cashbook page. Click on your company name to manage the access to your account.

If you have more than one Cashbook account, or accounting firm, you will see those firms listed here as well, and you can use this menu to switch between accounts.
