AccountEdge can send emails through Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2008 (or later) or Apple Mail.

Using Office 365 for Mac?

If you don't use one of these programs, you can save your document as a PDF (Send To > Disk) then attach it to an email in your preferred email software.

If there's more than one email program on your computer, you need to set Outlook or Apple Mail as the default. Similarly, if you have more than one email address set up in Outlook or Apple Mail, you'll need to set which one is the default.

 

To set your default email program

AccountEdge will send emails through the default email program set on your computer. Here's how to set this:

If usingDo this
Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2008 or later
  1. On the Outlook menu, click Preferences.
  2. Under Personal settings, click General.
  3. Under Default application, click Make Default.
Apple Mail
  1. Open Apple Mail.
  2. Go to the Mail menu and choose Preferences.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Select the desired Default email reader.
To set your default email address

If you have more than one email account set up in Outlook or Apple Mail, emails will be sent from AccountEdge using the default email address that’s selected. Here's how to set this:

If usingDo this
Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2008 or later
  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Go to the Tools menu and choose Accounts. The Accounts window appears listing your available email accounts (addresses).
  3. Select the email account you want to use as the default.
  4. On the Action pop-up menu  (under the list of available email accounts), click Set as Default.
Apple Mail
  1. Open Apple Mail.
  2. Choose Mail > Preferences.
  3. Click the Composing tab.
  4. About half way down, at the field Select new messages from, select the email account you want to use as the default.
