When integrating onboarding a new employee through MYOB Advanced Payroll with MYOB Advanced Workforce Management, some issues can occur if you select the segmented key Auto Number optionan issue can occur where employee ID numbering is out of sequence. WorkaroundDepending on which phase of implementation a site is in, there are different ways to work around the issues. During implementationWhen setting up MYOB Advanced People, ensure that the segmented key Auto Number option is not selected if: You can work around the issue by deselecting the Auto Number option in the following situations: - During implementation, if the Workforce Management feature is to be enabled and an API key is required.
- In a production site
In a production site disable the segmented Auto Number option for all MYOB Advanced Payroll tenants :- the Workforce Management feature is has been enabled and an API key is required.
After implementationDisable the segmented key Auto Number option if Professional Services create an Advanced Payroll-only employee, who: - is of a non-payroll nature
- requires no Workforce Management presence.
This means that, for any employee manually entered into Advanced Payroll, Professional Services need to manually enter their employee ID. Ensure that new employee IDs: - don't duplicate another employee ID
- have a unique format, different to employee IDs created in Workforce Management.
