As part of our environment compatibility process, MYOB has tested and evaluated the use of Microsoft Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 Windows 8 with the latest versions of MYOB products. Testing was carried out for both Remote Desktop Services and client/server configurations with Windows 7 & Windows 8 workstations.

  • The MYOB AE software will not work on Starter or Home editions of Windows 7, or on the basic or RT editions of Windows 8. If using Windows 8, please use Professional or Enterprise editions. Please refer to the MYOB System Requirements web page for additional information on supported technologies.
  • MYOB does not provide support for Microsoft Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 and Windows 8 as part of your software support agreement.

Compatibility status as at June 2022

Microsoft will stop supporting SQL Server 2012 on 15 July 2022. MYOB will support SQL Server 2012 until Jan 15 2023. If possible, depending on your practice's particular circumstances, we recommed upgrading to a version of SQL that will continue to be supported by Microsoft.
