Images missing completely from your forms?

See Images not displaying in customised forms.

When you print or email an invoice or statement from AccountRight v19, the software creates a PDF of the document you are printing or emailing. By default, Windows 8 uses a built-in PDF reader to display these documents. If you've upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8, the Windows 8 PDF reader may still be in use. However, using the Windows 8 PDF reader can result in the images in the document being distorted or cut-off as shown in the following examples:

This issue is only apparent on computers using the default Windows 8 PDF reader. If you email the PDF to someone who is not using the Windows 8 PDF reader the images will display properly.

Solution

To fix this issue, download the free Adobe Reader and set it as your default PDF reader.

To download Adobe Reader
  1. Close AccountRight and Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Visit the Adobe website to download and install the free Adobe Reader. Instructions for downloading and installing are also provided on the Adobe website.

After installing, Adobe Reader may automatically become the default PDF viewing program on your computer and the issue will be resolved. However, to ensure Adobe Reader is set as your default PDF reader, complete the steps below.

To set Adobe Reader as the default PDF reader
  1. Right-click the lower-left corner of the screen and choose Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.

  2. Click Default Programs. The Default Programs window appears.
  3. Click Set your default programs. The Set Default Programs window appears with all your installed programs listed.
  4. From the list of installed programs on the left, click Adobe Reader then click Set this program as default on the right.
