  • Error: "I/O Error in Rewrite Routine" when using BASlink (Australia only)

This information applies to MYOB AccountRight version 19. For later versions, see our help centre.


 

 

The following error may occur when running BASlink:

  1. Close AccountRight.
  2. Simultaneously press the Windows  and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows  key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The File Explorer or Windows Explorer window appears.
  3. Locate your AccountRight installation folder. Here are the default installation locations. If you installed AccountRight in a different location, go to that location instead.

    If using this AccountRight version:The installation folder is here:
    AccountRight StandardC:\Standard
    AccountRight PlusC:\Plus
    AccountRight PremierC:\Premier
    AccountRight EnterpriseC:\Enterprise
  4. Open AccountRight installation folder.
  5. Locate a file named baslink.txt.
  6. Right-click baslink.txt and choose Delete.
  7. Click Yes to the confirmation message. 

You should now be able to successfully run BASlink. If the error persists, reinstall AccountRight.
