In MYOB Tax you may experience the following error "Roll over failed" when performing the Tax 2018 year end routine in an SQL environment.

To resolve this error complete the following:

To verify if SQL Tax is installed
 

If you are using Accountants Office (AO) or Accountants Enterprise Series 6/8 you are running SQL Tax.

If you are using Accountants Enterprise (AE) to verify if you are using an SQL Tax, refer to KB 30059: How do I verify if SQL Tax is installed?

If you are using non SQL Tax, please DO NOT follow the instructions below. Refer to KB 24576858: Error: "Roll over failed" when executing the AE Tax 2018 year end routine in a non SQL environment
All users must close all MYOB applications.  To ensure users have existed, run the following EPRESET routine applicable to your version of MYOB:
Users logged on may interfere with the roll over process.

Perform the data integrity check for 2017

Reset Tax 2018 Files 

For details refer to Resetting my 2018 Tax data files

Execute year end routine again

  1. From System Release, start Tax 2018. The Year End Routine appears.
  2. Follow the Year End Routine instructions as per the previous process. The Year End process completes. For detailed instructions on how to manually execute the Year End Routine, refer to KB 37336: How do I manually run the Year End Routine steps?
