This error is due to your Cashbook simply requiring a re-index after the software has been upgraded.

To do this:

  1. Simultaneously press the Windows Image and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows Image key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The File Explorer window appears.
  2. Browse to the location where you store your Cashbook data, this will most likely be one of the following locations:

    • C:\Program Files\MYOB\Cashbook\Data
      Image

    • C:\Users\Public\Data\MYOB\Cashbook
      Image

  3. In the Data folder there will be three files named CASHBOOKS with various file extensions as shown in the following example:

  4. Delete these files by right-clicking and choosing Delete.
  5. There will also be three files named CADATA with various file extensions as shown in the following example:

  6. Delete these files by right-clicking and choosing Delete.
    You should now be able to successfully open Cashbook.
