In BankLink Practice, the following error can occur when refreshing a chart of accounts from MYOB Accountants Enterprise MAS:

“Error Refreshing Chart. ReadChartFromS6BNK_DLL failed: XML parse error: End tag xml does not match the start tag chart”

This error occurs when account codes exist without an account description.  The s6bnk.dll utility (part of the Refresh Chart function) doesn’t handle accounts without a description.

Solution

Edit the chart in MYOB Accountants Enterprise MAS and add the account description where necessary.
