Check the default pay frequency
If you pay wages weekly do nothing, otherwise follow the instructions to set your preferred pay frequency.
Check the pay rate structure
The default pay rates are Ordinary Hours, Time & a Half, and Double Time. These appear at the top of your Calculate Pays screen.
If you want to use a different pay rate regularly, click on the blue text to set it.
Check the default payment method
If you pay wages by cheque or direct credit then do nothing - leave the default payment method set to Cheque.
If you pay wages in cash then click In Cash. A green tick appears. You will need to produce a Coin split when you pay your wages in cash, but you don’t need to worry about that yet.
