A control group can only be deleted if it does not have any allocated assets.

To delete a control group that has no allocated assets
  1. Open the client’s Client Accounting > Assets tab. See Accessing an asset register. The Asset Register is displayed.
  2. Open the Maintain Control Group window. There are 2 ways to do this:
    • Click Maintain control group on the TASKS bar of the Assets Register.
    • Select Maintenance > Maintain control group on the main menu of the Assets Listing page.
    The Maintain Control Group window opens.
  3. Select the control group to be deleted.
  4. Click Delete. The Delete button is located below the control group table.
    A message is displayed requesting confirmation to delete the selected control group.
  5. Click Yes. The selected control group is deleted.
To delete a control group that has allocated assets
  1. Open the client’s Client Accounting > Assets tab. See Accessing an asset register. The Asset Register is displayed.
  2. Open the Assets Listing page. See Opening an asset year.
  3. Transfer the asset(s) to another control group. See Moving an asset to another control group.
  4. Select Maintenance > Maintain control group on the main menu. The Maintain Control Group window opens.
  5. Select the control group to be deleted.
  6. Click Delete. A message is displayed requesting confirmation to delete the selected control group.
  7. Click Yes. The selected control group is deleted.
