After installing the initial version of MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) Tax for the new year and performing the Tax roll forward, you may notice that new year Tax returns documents are not automatically created in Client Compliance.
The following is the process that needs to be followed to fix this. This process should not re-rollover tax returns that have been added to matters/client compliance separately after the roll over, however a backup should be performed before running the utility as a precaution to this.
Check that the MYOB Administration Centre services are running and the background process is active
Confirm that the Tax Roll Forward has actually been run
Confirm with the person responsible for performing the rollover that they have run the Tax Rollover process from Contacts > Tools > Roll Forward or Client Compliance > Tools > Roll Forward. For more details regarding how to perform the AE Tax Roll Forward, refer to the install guide. Check that the return details have rolled over correctly by opening few tax returns
Open Windows Explorer or Computer and navigate to: S:\MYOB\setup\CreateAETaxForms\ then double-click the CreateAETax20xxForms.exe file and run on the server where the AE Tax SQL database is located. The application runs.
Select the database entry integrated to AE Tax. The entry is selected.
There should be at least one entry that has a database location which is integrated with AE Tax.
For example: THE PRACTICE-S:\Data\MYOB integrated with \\SERVER\MYOBAE\AETAX1\ depending on your Database Location and AE Tax Database.
Click Next. The process completes and confirmation window will appear.
Access Client Compliance or Contacts and confirm that the Documents are now appearing in Matters or Client Compliance, that you can open tax returns, and that they have rolled over successfully.
If you are still experiencing the issue, please proceed to rebuild the MYOB Administration Centre and re-run the createtaxforms utility
