We've been made aware that MYOB software is closing unexpectedly after 15-30 minutes, forcing users to sign back in. This can even happen when the user is actively using their MYOB file.

The issue is caused by a Google Chrome feature released in February which blocks cookies associated with cross-site resources. Other browsers may have this feature turned on too.

If you're experiencing this issue, there's some settings you can change in your browser which should resolve it.

If you're using Chrome, try disabling the following browser flags.

The most recent version of the Chrome app on iOS for mobiles does not have these options. This may change as Google updates the app

 

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Type chrome://flags/ in your address bar
  3. Find following flags and disable those:
  • SameSite by default cookies
  • Cookies without SameSite must be secure
