May–June 2021
- Customise tax statements
You'll be able to customise three areas on the tax statement:- the declaration
- the footer
- the privacy paragraph.
- Display bank account details when preparing a return
- You'll be able to check that the bank account held at IR is the correct account.
- Expand support for prepopulating tax return data from Inland Revenue
- Auto creation of workpapers and schedules
Schedules can be created automatically when they've received data that can be used to prepopulate them. - Extend what data we distribute between IR6 and IR3
- Customise tax notices
You'll be able to customise the opening paragraph of the tax notice. - Bulk change tax notice status
At the tax notice dashboard, allow users to complete the following actions in bulk: Mark as: In review, Ready for client review, Sent, Not required - 2021 tax year compliance changes for Tax Manager
Applying the 2021 tax changes to tax notices and data reconciliation, which includes the new individual 39% tax bracket and the ability to record other debits in a new field for income from PIEs.
- Add tax types
Add student loan, donation tax credits, working for families tax types in Data reconciliation. - View and manage more transactions
Add, reconcile, delete and unreconcile SLS, REB and FAM transactions in Data reconciliation.
July–September 2021
- Include more transactions in the tax statement
Individuals only—For IR3 and IR3NR, Working for Families Tax Credits and Student loan repayments transactions will automatically be taken into account when generating tax statement PDFs. - Use of Money Interest (UOMI)
Calculate the UOMI based on the RIT and send the value via the tax statement. - Access to IRD number in Compliance
The IRD number to be more visible within Compliance. - Enhanced tax statement with schedule
Visual improvements to the PDF. - Ability to identify the transfers details
Get visibility of transfer details when there are refunds in the tax returns, specially when there are multiple refunds.
- Calculate Working for Families
We'll be releasing support for the Working for Families Tax Credits (WfFTC) calculator in four phases, beginning toward the end of July and continuing over the following weeks:- Family tax credit (FTC).
- Minimum family tax credit threshold (MFTC).
- Best start tax credit (BSTC).
- In-work tax credit (IWTC).
More options for sending tax notices
You'll be able to send tax notices in bulk or individually via email directly from MYOB Practice.- Additional filtering for the Tax notices list view
- Access management for key Data Rec. & Tax notices actions
Manage who in your practice can perform specific functions in Tax notices and Data reconciliation.
