MYOB OnTheGo is a mobile app that lets you manage your accounts and cash flow on the go. You can invoice and manage your contacts, see who owes you money, and record payments too. And everything you do is immediately synced with your AccountRight company file.

If your company file is online, and you have a compatible Android or iOS device, you’re ready to go—all you need to do is download and install the MYOB OnTheGo app:

Or, get the app store link texted to you directly (Australia only). For more information, see myob.com/onthego.

The first time you log in to MYOB OnTheGo, enter your my.MYOB account details. You’ll then need to set a 4-digit security PIN, which will make future log-ins faster and easier.

(If you ever need to change your PIN, just tap Forgotten your password? on the PIN entry screen. Re-enter your my.MYOB details and you can then change the PIN.)

Once you’re in, select the online company file you want to work with, and enter the user account details you usually sign in to AccountRight with. And that’s it—you’re ready to invoice!

Record invoices and payments

It’s easy to create and email invoices for your customers and record any payments they make.

Create an invoice
  1. Tap Invoices on the dashboard.
  2. Tap +. The New Invoice screen appears.
  3. Select the customer and then fill out the invoice details. You can add as many lines as you need.
  4. Tap Save to record the sale.
  5. Tap Email if you want to also send an invoice to your customer.

Note that the default invoice form will be used in the sale. You can set a default form to use in your company file or a default form for each customer (which is a assigned in the card file).

Edit an invoice

Invoices with an "Open" status (unpaid invoices) can be edited. Simply open the invoice and tap Edit on the line you want to change.

Find an invoice

Tap Invoices on the dashboard to see a list of all invoices, or if you want to view invoices for a particular customer, tap Contacts, select the customer and then tap the Invoices tab.

Take a payment

You can record an invoice payment on the spot. When viewing an invoice you have already saved, tap Take Payment. You can then choose from the following:

  • Cash and cheque: When taking a payment, cash and cheque will be available as the payment method. Select the applicable method to create a payment transaction.

  • Card: If you’ve signed up for the MYOB PayDirect payments service, you can take card payments on the go—Visa, MasterCard, or Debit card (EFTPOS is available too!). For more information about MYOB PayDirect, and to sign up, visit myob.com.au/paydirect (Australia) or myob.co.nz/paydirect (New Zealand).

Manage your contacts

MYOB OnTheGo syncs with your AccountRight card file, so you can view your customer and supplier details, and see what’s owed, whenever you want.

Create a contact
  1. Tap Contacts on the dashboard.
  2. Tap either Customers or Suppliers, depending on the type of contact you want to create.
  3. Tap +.
  4. Enter the contact’s details and then tap Save. The contact’s details will automatically sync with your AccountRight card file.
Edit a contact

To edit a contact, display the customer or supplier’s details, and then tap Edit. Tap Save when finished and the changes will also be synced with your AccountRight card file.

Find a contact

Tap Contacts on the dashboard, and then tap Customer or Supplier to view your contacts by type. You can also search for a contact by typing in the search field.

Navigate to a contact's address

To view a map showing a contact’s address, or to get driving directions from your current location, display the contact’s details and then tap on the address field. Your device’s mapping app will launch so you can easily navigate to the address.
