MYOB AO previews and prints many reports concerning data in your tax ledger.

Reports menu print options

Under the Reports menu, the printing options include:

OptionDescription
Print ReturnProvides for validation and printing of multiple copies of a return, its attachments (lodgable schedules, worksheets and grids), notes, declarations, [F4] Estimate and invoice preparation.
Printing SchedulesPrints one or more schedules on an individual basis, perhaps for checking purposes, prior to printing the entire return. For example, to check the Capital Gains summary prior to completing and lodging the return.
Tax Office Copy PDF Functionality

Prepares a single pdf file of a valid return, all available active schedules, attachments and the Electronic Lodgment Declaration (ELD) in the required order. For details on this functionality, read the online help for ‘Tax Office Copy PDF’.

To use this wizard you will need to select settings on the Defaults tab. For details see Configuring the Control Record.

Print NotesPrints notes attached to returns, that is, schedule notes and to print notes that apply to the assessment details.
Proforma SchedulesPrints schedules, without amounts or narrations, for use during the process of interviewing clients. These schedules might then be used to prepare tax returns.
Return Label PrintingPrints return labels for official correspondence.
Returns Attached to ClientsPrints the details of return code, TFN, return type, return name of all returns for all clients (first to last) each on a separate page.
Tax Preparation Audit TrailPrints a report of actions taken and changes made to returns or schedules within Tax. This audit file has the potential to become large so it should be printed and cleared regularly.
ATO Report Import (solicited and unsolicited reports)To open the index of these reports select ReportsAudit Trail > ATO report import.
This report deals with the files downloaded from the ATO. It is the Audit Trail of actions taken when this data is used to update Tax. The downloaded files include Activity Statement Client List for quarterly or annual BAS/IAS.
Lodgment ReportingReports concerned with monitoring the lodgment process for income tax returns and other lodgable forms.
BAS/IAS ReportsReports concerned with monitoring lodgment of BAS and IAS form types.

Other print options

Printing processes available under menus options other than Reports include:

OptionDescription
Tax Estimate [F4]The detailed Tax Estimate can be prepared by selecting [F4] or by selecting PreparationCalculation > Estimate.
Assessment Details and LettersClick Preparation > Assessment Details to open the dialog where you record details from the Notice of Assessment (NOA) issued by the ATO and prepare the covering letter to accompany the NOA to the client.
Tax LettersThis option on the Tax Letters menu will print a letter opened as a Microsoft Word document. The content can include merge fields available to Tax and can be edited, printed or saved.
ATO ReportsThe index listing reports received from the ATO is opened by selecting LodgmentElectronic > ATO Reports.

Depending on the type of report selected, Report Options for printing, updating and sorting will for differ.
