Your data was converted and imported into MYOB AO when you upgraded from MYOB AO Classic. Use the information in the following table as a checklist to check that your upgrade has been successful.

Your list of employees

Scan your list of employees in MYOB AO to ensure that it is correct. Open a selection of employees and confirm their details converted successfully.

To do this:

  • Select Open > Employee from the menu and click Search on the Find Employees page to view a list of Employees.

  • Double-click an employee name to open and view the employee details.

Finding an existing employee.

Employee charge and cost rates

Before your employees enter timesheet details, check their charge rates and cost rates.

To do this:

  • Open the relevant Employee page

  • Check the cost rate on the Main tab

  • Check charge rates on the Charge Rates tab.

Any information entered in the Personal details box in MYOB AO Classic (such as their address) will need to be entered into MYOB AO if required.

Finding an existing employee.

Your list of clients

Scan the list of clients in MYOB AO to ensure that it is correct. Open a selection of key clients and confirm that their client name, address and IRD converted successfully.

To do this:

  • Click AO-GS-Button-Contacts-small.png and click Search on the Find Clients page to view a list of clients. The total number clients is listed at the top of the search results table.

  • Double-click an client name to open and view the client details.

Finding an existing client.

MYOB AO Classic Integration

Check that MYOB AO is integrated with MYOB AO Classic. This ensures that changes to certain client data made in MYOB AO are also made to your AO Classic database.

To do this:

  • Select Maintenance > Maintenance Map from the menu.

  • Select AO Classic Settings from the Tasks bar.

  • Check the AO Classic integration details and ensure:

  • Current integration status is Integrated, and

  • AO Classic database is set to the Data folder containing your AO Classic database.

Open a MYOB AO Classic return from MYOB AO

Ensure that you can open and view tax returns in MYOB AO Classic from MYOB AO.

To do this:

  • Search for and open a client.

  • Access the Client page > Main tab.

  • Select Return preparation from the Tasks bar.
