Depreciation worksheets

Australia only

Access online learning video on this topic

The Depreciation worksheet is used for all assets including rental properties within MYOB AO. Individual Depreciation worksheets are added from the Depreciation Worksheet Index. As assets are entered and saved, an entry is made in the Depreciation Worksheet Index.

To add a Depreciation worksheet using the Tasks bar

  1. Open the tax return.

  2. See Opening an existing return.
  3. Click Depreciation Worksheet under Worksheets on the Tasks bar.

  4. The Depreciation Worksheet Index window opens.
Each asset has its own worksheet and as assets are entered and saved, an entry is made in the Index. The index also offers entry to other dialogs that assist with the complexities of managing depreciating assets, pooled or otherwise, and projects.
See Tax2014/Depreciation_Worksheet_%28d%29.htm, the Depreciation worksheet (d) topic in the Tax online help.
  5. Click New to create a new asset to be depreciated.

Alternatively, you can add a Depreciation worksheet from a Depreciation field in other schedules, worksheets or grids. For example, click to place the cursor within the Amount from the Depreciation worksheet field and press [Enter].
