Extra Types allow a practice to logically group similar fields together, helping the user to view, sort and group fields according to each users' needs.

In Australia, Extra Types will have been converted from MYOB AO Classic. They can be changed and you can add new ones as required.

How to add an Extra Type
  1. Select Maintenance > Maintenance Map from the menu.
  2. Click User Defined on the Tasks bar.
  3. Click Extra Types. The Maintenance - Extra Types page opens.

  4. Click in the Extra Types column on the new record row and type the name of the new Extra Type (for example, Financial).
  5. Click OK to save the changes and close the window.

    Extra Types can be attached to both Extra Fields and Extra Lists.
