Before you can perform backups, you must:
configure the correct permissions for any Security Groups that need to perform backups.
assign any employee’s who will be performing backups to the security group with the backup permissions. See Selecting employee security groups.
To configure security groups for backups
Select Maintenance > Maintenance Map from the menu.
Click Security on the Tasks bar.
Click Task Permissions.
Select Central from the Product drop-down.
Select the Group (security group) from the drop-down that you want to set up the task permissions for.
Click beside the Maintenance to list the permissions for that area.
Click the Allow checkbox for:
[Maintenance][Backup]
#Backup#ReceiveFailureNotification.
Click OK.
