  • Sign-On window always showing the same User ID when opening a company file

When signing on to AccountRight the software remembers the previous User ID based on the information kept inside a file on your computer (MYOBP.ini).

If AccountRight fails to remember your last user ID, this means the windows user does not have sufficient permission to edit the MYOBP.ini file.

 

To edit the windows permissions
  1. Log in to Windows as an Administrator user.
  2. Search for the file MYOBP.ini file located in the windows directory (C:\Windows\MYOBP.ini)
  3. Right-click on the file and choose Properties.
  4. Click the Security tab.
  5. Change the permissions so that the appropriate Users group has Full Control access to the file. See example below.

  6. Click OK.
