Change to sign-in frequency

If you notice that you’re being prompted to sign in to MYOB more frequently, or less frequently, than previously, this is because of a security enhancement we’ve released in response to customer requests.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) codes can be received via mobile app or email (see the information below about SMS 2FA). Tell me more about the 2FA methods.

Whether you have a new phone or other mobile device, like a tablet, the process for setting it up is the same. Just be aware you can only have 2FA set up on one device at a time.

Choose your scenario and we'll step you through it.

This means you're set up for email 2FA, but it's easy to switch to a mobile phone app instead.

  1. Log into My Account (myaccount.myob.com).
  2. Verify your account using the verification code from your old device or by using a backup code.
  3. Click Account security from the drop-down menu under your name (in the top right of My Account) to open the Account security page.
  4. Click Change to app authentication or Change 2FA. Then, follow the steps below to set up app 2FA.

  5. Re-enter your password and click Sign in.

  6. If prompted, enter and verify the authentication code from your current email 2FA.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Click Authenticator app or Mobile app. Again, the options that appear are based on the version of 2FA you're using.
  9. Download an authentication app. To use app-based authentication, you need to download an authenticator app onto your device.
You'll use this app to get the verification code needed to sign into your MYOB account. These apps don't need internet access to work.
