| You can set up bank feeds for most Westpac bank accounts. Check the list to see if your account is supported (Australia | New Zealand). If you can't set up bank feeds, you can import bank and credit card statements instead. Bank feeds allow information from your bank to be sent straight to MYOB so you can save time on your data entry. To set up a bank feed for a Westpac account: - you need to be the online owner (this is usually the person who set up your MYOB subscription) or an Online Admin user. If you're unable to set up bank feeds, contact us and we'll be happy to help.
- ensure bank feeds can be set up for your account (check the list: Australia | New Zealand)
There are two parts to setting up a bank feed: 1. Apply Start the application process in MYOB | Essentials, then finish via Westpac's online banking system (Westpac Live) or send us an application form.> | and follow the prompts. | 2. | If you're applying for a bank feed for an Australian bank account (not a credit card), these steps are for you. If you use Westpac Corporate Online, or have a Westpac credit card account, or you're in New Zealand, see the tasks below. - In MYOB, go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank feeds.
- Click Create bank feed.
Choose Westpac from the list of financial institutions. For the Application method, choose Online via bank / internet banking. Note that you'll need to have access to the online banking system for this account. If you don't have access you'll need to submit an application form - see "To apply with an application form" below. Choose Westpac from the list of banks and financial institutions. - Select Online through my bank as the Application method.
Read the terms of use and select the I declare that option if you agree with them. Click Apply for bank feed. - Copy the MYOB bank feed reference number that’s displayed on your screen. You’ll need this number when authorising the bank feed in your online banking systemRead the displayed information and, if you agree, select the option I confirm that.
- Click Next.
- Take note of the displayed code or click Copy to copy it to your Windows clipboard. You'll need this code in NetBank to complete the application.
- Click Go to online banking.
- Sign in to Westpac Live.
- Go to the Services & preferences menu and select Services.
- Click Bank feeds in the Account Services section.
- Select the bank account you are setting up the bank feed for in the From account menu.
- Select MYOB as your third-party service provider.
- Paste the MYOB bank feed reference number code you copied earlier into the MYOB Bank Authorisation field.
- Provide your email address in the Contact Email field.
- Click Connect feed.
When the bank feed is ready, the bank feed will appear in the list on your Manage bank feeds page, and you'll receive a notification on your MYOB Essentials dashboard, asking you to link the new bank feed to an account.

| If you're in New Zealand, these steps are for you. - In MYOB, go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank feeds.
- Click Create bank feed.
Choose Westpac from the list of financial institutions. For the Application method, choose Application form. - Enter the bank account or credit card details.
- Read the displayed information and, if you agree, select the option I confirm that.
- Click Next.
- On the Sign the authority form page:
- Click Print authority form, then complete, sign and scan the form to your computer.
- Click Upload authority form to open the secure upload portal.
- Enter your Email address.
- Upload your scanned application form (either drag and drop the form onto the page or click Browse for files to choose the file from your computer).
Click Submit Application.

| If you're applying for a bank feed for a credit card, these steps are for you. - In MYOB, go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank feeds.

Choose Westpac from the list of financial institutions. For the Application method, select Print and post to MYOB. If you’re setting up a bank feed for a bank account, enter the Account name, BSB and Account Number. If you’re setting up a bank feed for a credit card, enter the Name on card and the Last 4 digits of the card number.
Read the terms of use and select the I declare that option if you agree with them. Click Apply for bank feed. Click Print application form. Depending on your computer’s settings, the form will either appear in a new tab, where you can save or print it, or a popup will appear, asking whether you want to save or print the form. - Complete and submit the application form (instructions are provided on the form).
When the bank feed is ready, the bank feed will appear in the list on your Manage bank feeds page, and you'll receive a notification on your MYOB Essentials dashboard, asking you to link the new bank feed to an account. UI Text Box |

| What's the status of my application? It can take up to 10 days for your bank feed to become active. Learn more about tracking choose Application form. - Enter the bank account or credit card details.

How long does it take to approve my application?Australian bank accounts | These applications (processed via Westpac Live) are usually processed by Westpac within 24 hours, but it can take a couple of days. | Credit cards or New Zealand bank accounts | The application forms take 1 - 2 weeks to be processed. |

| "Name not provided by bank" If you applied for your bank feed online via Westpac Live, the Account Name on the Manage bank feeds page will display "Name not provided by bank'. Don't worry—this doesn't affect your bank feed. |
From the Select account dropdown list, choose the MYOB Essentials account you want to link the bank feed to. MYOB Essentials accounts that are already linked to a bank feed do not appear in the list. The account you choose will be a bank or credit card account you’ve set up in MYOB Essentials. For example, if you’re setting up a bank feed for your main transaction account, you might choose to link it to the 1-1000 Cheque Account in MYOB Essentials. Similarly, if you’re setting up a bank feed for your Visa card, you might choose to link it to the 2-1040 Visa account in MYOB Essentials. In the confirmation box, click Yes to confirm your choice of linked account. The bank feed is linked to the selected account, and bank transactions will start appearing in the linked account. You can view the transactions from your bank feed on the Bank transactions page.
What happens next?Once you're set up, your bank transactions will be brought in from your bank into MYOB Essentials. What's the bank feed delivery frequency? You're now ready to start working with bank feed been notified (by email) that your bank feed has been approved and the first bank feed has arrived, you'll need to link the bank feed to the corresponding account in MYOB. | To link an account to the bank feed- In MYOB, go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank feeds. The Manage bank feeds page opens, listing all the bank feeds you have set up and their status.
In the Linked account column for the new bank feed, choose an account from the list. This will be the account that the bank feed transactions will be imported to. You can only select accounts set up as a bank account or credit card. - Click Save to finish.

What happens next?When your bank feed is ready, your bank transactions will automatically be fed into MYOB at the frequency specified by Westpac for your account type (you can check here: Australia | New Zealand). You can then allocate those transactions to the applicable accounts or match them to existing transactions. You can even set up rules to make it happen automatically. | Bank feeds will start from the approval date The first bank feed you receive will have transactions dated from when your bank feed was approved. Any transactions that occurred while you were waiting for the bank feed to be set up won’t be included. If you want to import transactions dated before your feed approval date, you can import a bank statement., but you can import these transactions from your bank statements. |
