Reconciling makes sure your MYOB Essentials bank records match the records kept by your bank. Doing this regularly helps your business records to stay accurate.

How you reconcile depends on whether you use paper or electronic bank statements (including BankLink).

• If you’ve linked your bank or credit card account or if you manually import statements into MYOB Essentials, you’ll only need to reconcile the transactions that MYOB Essentials couldn’t automatically match. See Reconciling unmatched MYOB Essentials transactions.
