Accountants Office with Practice Manager only

To finalise a draft bill, you need to post it. This finalises your bill by committing the transactions permanently and moving the client WIP into the debtors ledger. Once a bill is posted, you will be unable to edit it. To correct errors on a posted bill, see Errors when entering bill amounts.

titleTo post an individual draft bill from the Billing Main page
  1. Open the relevant draft bill in the Billing Main page.

  2. Click Post. A Post Confirm message is displayed.

  3. Click Yes. The Bills Ready to Print window opens listing all the posted bills for all clients that have not been printed.

  4. If you want to print the bill now:

    1. Select the bill and click Print to open a print window and print the invoice. When the bill has successfully printed, you are returned to the Bills Ready to Print window with the bill still selected.

    2. Click Printed OK to mark the bill as printed and remove it from the list.

      If you click Preview, the bill opens in Microsoft Word for you to review and print the bill. Close Microsoft Word when you have finished.

  5. Click Close.

  1. Select Billing > Draft Bills on the toolbar.

  4. page opens.

  5. Highlight the draft bill to be posted.

  6. Select the draft bill from the table listing all draft bills.

  7. Click Post on the Tasks TASKS bar. The draft bill is finalised.


  1. An error message is displayed if you cannot finalise your draft bill.

  1. Select Billing > Draft Bills on the toolbar.

  5. Select the checkbox in the first column of the heading row.

  6. All the draft bills listed in the

  7. Drafts Bills

  8.  table will be selected. A tick will appear in the checkbox in the first column for each listed bill.

  9. Click Post on the Tasks TASKS bar. The draft bills are finalised.


  1. An error message is displayed for any draft bill that cannot be finalised.
