Accountants Enterprise only

The Salary/Cost tab is only available on the Employee page.

The Salary/Cost tab displays each employee’s salary, benefits and leave information. You can create, edit and delete any of this information within this tab.

The information on this tab is normally created using the Create Employee Wizard. See Step 5 — Employee salary / cost for details.

Salary/Cost tab fields

 

Field

Description

Salary/Benefit panel

Start Date

The start date of the benefit.

Enter the start date in the format dd/mm/yyyy or select it from the drop-down calendar.

End Date

The end date for the benefit.

Enter the end date in the format dd/mm/yyyy or select it from the drop-down calendar.

Benefit Type

Select one of the benefit types from the drop-down list that have been configured for the practice using Maintenance > Employee > Employee Benefit Type.

Details

Enter any information to be recorded with the benefit.

This a text field which is limited to a maximum of 50 alphanumeric characters.

Annual Value

This is the annual salary. This figure can be used to calculate the employee’s cost rate.

Include

Click the Include checkbox to include the salary amount in the employee’s cost rate calculation.

Employee Total

This field displays the total cost of the employee calculated from the values entered in the Salary/Benefit section.

Hrs/Week

This field displays the employee’s weekly work hours as defined by their employee category.

Hrs/Year

This field displays the employee’s yearly work hours as defined by their employee category.

Cost/Hr

This field displays the cost per hour for the employee, calculated from the values entered in the Salary/Benefit section and the assigned number of working hours. You can alter this amount at any time.

Employee Total (current)

This field displays the total amount of the salary/benefits for the employee based on current or historical data provided. This is influenced by the Show History option at the bottom of the page.

Leave panel

Start Date

The first date of leave taken.

Enter the start date in the format dd/mm/yyyy or select it from the drop-down calendar.

End Date

The final date of leave taken.

Enter the end date in the format dd/mm/yyyy or select it from the drop-down calendar.

Days

Manually calculate the number of days leave and enter it in the field.

Leave Type

The type of leave taken.

Click the field and select the type of leave from the drop-down list.

Productive

Click the checkbox to include the hours of leave in the productivity calculation.

Productive (Current)

This field displays the productive leave for the employee during a period.

Unproductive (Current)

This field displays the unproductive leave for the employee during a period

Show History

This field displays all (historical) entered data for salary/benefit and leave for the employee.
