It is sometimes necessary to uninstall an old version of RetailManager before you can install a new version.

There are two methods for uninstalling RetailManager:

These methods remove all components of RetailManager necessary to allow a new version to be installed, but sometimes an incomplete or incorrect uninstallation can cause issues when installing or reinstalling your new version.

Running an Installer Help file for the version of RetailManager you are trying to remove will eliminate any remaining components that may prevent your new version from successfully installing.

Running the installer help file

  1. From the list below, click the version of RetailManager you have uninstalled.

    RetailManager v11           RetailManager v10           RetailManager v9           RetailManager v8

    RetailManager v7             RetailManager v6            RetailManager v5           RetailManager v4

    RetailManager Professional v1 / v1.5

    RetailManager Standard v6 / v6.5

  2. At the prompt, choose to Save the file in an easily accessible location, such as the Desktop.

Note: Ensure the saved file has the filename extension ".exe".
  3. Once the file has downloaded, double-click it to run the installer help.
  4. After the process has finished, restart your computer.

You should now be able to install your new version of RetailManager by following the installation instructions that came with the software.
