BankLink Books

This message is caused by your anti-virus or backup software (or other third party software) preventing BankLink Books from starting.

To fix this error, you need to delete a file called SYSTEM.$ $ $ from the BankLink Books folder. To find this file, you'll need to ensure file extensions are visible on your computer.

Here's what to do:

 

1. Ensure file extensions are visible
  1. Open the Control Panel.
    • In Windows 8 and later: Right-click the Windows Start button (in the bottom-left corner) and choose Control Panel.
    • In Windows Vista and 7: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.
  2. Under View by (in the top-right corner), select Small icons.
  3. Click Folder Options (or File Explorer Options).
  4. Click the View tab.
  5. Under Advanced settings, deselect the option Hide extensions for known file types.
  6. Click OK.
2. Delete the SYSTEM.$ $ $ file
  1. Right-click the BankLink Books shortcut on your desktop and click Open File Location. The location opens showing the files and folders contained in this folder.

  2. Right-click the file called SYSTEM.$ $ $ and choose Delete. 

  3. Click Yes to the confirmation message.
  4. Start BankLink Books.
