The following error may appear when attempting to email pay slips:

This error is caused by Payroll not installing correctly. So first, uninstall and reinstall Payroll as described in Uninstalling and reinstalling Payroll. When reinstalling, make sure all other programs are closed - this includes temporarily disabling antivirus and firewall software.

Using Windows 10 and Microsoft Outlook 2013 or later?

This error can occur when emailing multiple pay slips. We have released an updated to Payroll 2016.2 which will fix this issue. After updating you will be able to choose the option to Send via Outlook 2013 or above.

If the error persists
  1. Close Payroll
  2. Right-click the Payroll icon and choose Properties. (The Payroll icon is the shortcut you click to start Payroll)
  3. Click the Compatibility tab.
  4. Select the option Run this program as an administrator.

  6. Open Payroll and confirm that the error is resolved.
