AccountRight Plus, Premier and Enterprise, Australia only

AccountRight v19.13 requires a full installation (not just a patch) so there's a few additional things you'll need to do. Some of these things you might not have done for a while (or not at all), so we'll guide you through each.

 

1. Install AccountRight v19.13

You'll need to install this upgrade on all computers currently using AccountRight v19. The easiest way to do this is through AccountRight.

  1. In your company file, go to the Help menu and choose Updates then Check for Updates. The Software Manager window appears and lists available updates.

  2. Click the AccountRight v19.13 upgrade and click Install. The software will be downloaded.

    Installing on multiple computers

    If you've got a slow internet connection and you don't want to repeat the download on each computer, select the AccountRight v19.13 upgrade in the Software Manager window and click Download Only. You can copy the downloaded file to a USB stick so you can use it on multiple computers.

  3. When the download is complete, follow the onscreen installation prompts.

If you're having trouble downloading this updgrade through AccountRight, you can also download it from my.myob.com.au (once logged in, go to the My Products menu and choose Downloads). Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.

2. Upgrade and confirm your company file

You'll need to upgrade your company file so it works with AccountRight v19.13. You will also need to confirm the file which verifies you're running a legal installation of AccountRight. 

To upgrade your company file

  1. Start AccountRight v19.13.
  2. At the Welcome window click Open your company file. A file browser window appears.
  3. Locate your company file.

To confirm your company file

  1. Ensure you are connected to the Internet.
  2. In the Company File Confirmation window, click the I use this company file to record or edit my business transactions option.
  3. Choose Confirm online from the list and then click Continue. Your serial number and company file code are sent to the MYOB confirmation server, which returns a confirmation code and extends the file activation.
    The Company File Confirmation – Confirmed window appears.
  4. Click OK. The company file has been confirmed. 
3. Upgrade your templates

If you edited any of the templates in your previous AccountRight version, you'll need to upgrade them for use in AccountRight v19.13. This includes:

  • custom reports
  • customised forms
  • personalised letters
  • graphics (such as your company logo or other card images)
  • BASlink setup information

AccountRight has a handy assistant which upgrades these templates for you. You'll need to use this assistant on each computer which uses AccountRight.

  1. Click the Windows Start button and choose All apps (or All programs).
  2. Click to open the MYOB AccountRight Classic folder.
  3. Click MYOB AccountRight Classic Templates Upgrade Assistant. The Assistant opens.

  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Browse and select the AccountRight folder for your previous version.

  6. Click Start. Your templates will be upgraded.

The templates that were installed with AccountRight v19.13 will be backed up to folders beginning with the word “Old”. You can find these folders in the AccountRight v19.13 program folder at <C:/ClassicPlus>.

4. Load the tax tables

The new tax tables in AccountRight v19.13 apply for pays processed from 1 October 2016. This means you'll need to load the tax tables:

  • after you have processed all pays for September 2016, and
  • before you process your first pay in October 2016.

Pays which span September and October

If you'll process the pay on or after 1 October, load the new tax tables first.

 

  1. Open your company file.
  2. Go to the Setup menu and choose Load Payroll Tax Tables. The Load Tax Tables window appears.
  3. Click Load Tax Tables.

To confirm your tax table date, go to the Setup menu and choose General Payroll Information. The Tax Table Revision Date should be 1/10/2016.
