This error is caused by not having a default printer set in Windows, Payroll not installing correctly, or a required component not working properly.
To set a default printer
Open Windows Control Panel.
In Windows 8 and later, right-click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.
In Windows 7, click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel.
Click Devices and Printers. The Devices and Printers window appears.
Right-click your preferred printer and choose Set as default printer.
Close the Devices and Printers window.
