This section lists the functions of MYOB AO Classic that are changed when it is integrated with MYOB AO.

Tools > Options > Employees tab

The list of employees is still displayed. Employees cannot be added or deleted in MYOB AO Classic and the following functions are disabled:

  • Add Employee

  • Delete Employee

  • Remove Employee

  • Change Employee Code.

Tools > Options > UDF’s tab

This tab is disabled in MYOB AO Classic.

Tax module menus

The following menu options are disabled:

  • File > Import > Tax Returns

  • File > Export > Tax Returns.

Tax Management Reports

The following reports are not available:

  • Account Lookup Batch Report

  • Unreconciled Clients

  • RIT Variances.

Tax return - Student Loan tab

  • Interim repayment calculation method selection is not available. This is set using the Student Loan calculator in MYOB AO Tax Manager.

Client Details > Relationships tab

Relationships cannot be added or deleted in MYOB AO Classic. This must be done in MYOB AO. Relationship information will be visible in MYOB AO Classic, but details required for Tax and Corporate Affairs must still be entered in MYOB AO Classic.

  • Individuals

  • Create Relationship button is disabled

  • Remove Relationship button is disabled

  • Go to Spouses Record remains active and has the same functionality.

  • Partnership

  • [F4] to add a new partner is disabled

  • [F8] to delete a partner is disabled

  • Profit% remains active. Once partners are created in MYOB AO, you must define and maintain the profit percentages in MYOB AO Classic.

  • Companies


The functionality on all tabs on the Relationships tab for a Company remains the same except for the Associates tab, which has the following changes:
  • [F4] to add a new associated contact is disabled.

  • [F8] to delete an associated contact is disabled.

  • Director checkbox remains active. Once a director relationship is defined in MYOB AO, the association will be copied back to MYOB AO Classic, but you need to tick the Director checkbox and print the relevant forms in MYOB AO Classic.

  • Share Type Held allocations remains active. Once a relationship is defined in MYOB AO, the association will be copied back to MYOB AO Classic. You must define and maintain the share allocations in MYOB AO Classic.

  • Tax Return checkbox remains active. Once a relationship is defined in MYOB AO, the association will be copied back to MYOB AO Classic, but you need to tick the Tax Return checkbox to link the associated tax return to the Company tax return.

  • Trusts

  • [F4] to add a new trustee/beneficiary is disabled

  • [F8] to delete a trustee/beneficiary is disabled

  • Income% remains active. Once trustee/beneficiaries are created in MYOB AO, you must define and maintain the income percentages in MYOB AO Classic.
