This is a list of shortcut keys in Tax:

[F1]

Help

Press [F1] to open the online help topic for the current window.

[F2]

Goto

Press [F2] to move the cursor to the Goto field. Use the Goto field to navigate easily around the return. Enter the item number into the Goto field and press [Enter] to navigate to that item

[F3]

Validation

Press [F3] to run the ELS Validity Test. The Validation summary lists any errors or warnings which have been found by the ELS Validity Test.

[F4]

Estimate

Press [F4] to prepare the estimate of the tax payable or refundable.

[F5]

Back

Press [F6] to close the open window.

The last data entered has not been saved unless you have tabbed away from the field.

[F8]

Distribution of income

Press [F8] to perform the Distribution of income function when in a Partnership or Trust form.

[F9]

Note

Press [F9] to add or view the notes for the selected item.

[F10]

List of valid entries

Press [F10] to display the index or list of valid data for the field concerned. If you know the required code you can type this directly into the field without viewing the list.

[ALT + F4]

Close

Press [ALT + F4] to close Tax.

The last data entered is not saved if the cursor is still in the field concerned.

[ESC]

Cancel / Close

Compare to [F6]

The last data entered is already saved if you have tabbed away from the field.

[CTRL + Home]

Top of the form

Press [CTRL + Home] to go to top of the form.

[CTRL + End]

Bottom of the form

Press [CTRL + End] to go to the bottom of the form.

[CTRL + Insert]

Insert

Press [CTRL + Insert] to insert additional lines into a return, where lines may be inserted. For example, you can insert additional lines to Item 24 of the individual return.

[CTRL + Delete]

Delete

Press [CTRL + Delete] to delete any additional rows that have been added to a return. For example, you can delete any additional lines which have been inserted to Item 24 of the individual return.

[ALT + S]

Schedule

Press [ALT + S] to add a schedule to the selected item. A schedule will only be added if a schedule can be associated with the item.

[Shift + F2]

Summary

Press [Shift + F2] to view a summary of the items where values have been entered. Where the prior year returns is also in MYOB AO values for both years are displayed for comparison.
