What does it mean

Standalone forms

A standalone form is any form that is not a return (Individual, Partnership, Trust, Company and Fund returns). These include forms such as Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax forms, Client Update forms, and Interposed Entity Election. These forms are created from within a client’s tax return.

Detailed Tax Estimate

The Taxation Estimate provides details of tax payable with the components of Tax Payable/Refundable in the order they are calculated and applied.

Click AO-GS-Button-Estimate.png Estimate in the return to view the Taxation Estimate.

Tax Estimate for Trust returns

This Tax Estimate will be shown on the Tax returns tab for a Trust return when the Front cover checkbox ‘Are Income Tax Estimates required? shows Yes. Distributions to beneficiaries must be performed using [F8] for the estimate to be calculated correctly.

Validate

(Audit)

Once all the relevant information has been entered in the return, the Summary of entered items should be reviewed for any omissions or errors and then validated for ELS. When the return is validated, MYOB AO will provide a list of the ELS validation errors, notes and warnings detected in the return and schedules attached to the return. All validation errors must be corrected before MYOB AO will pass the return for ELS lodgment.

Click AO_GettingStarted_Tax_AUS00022.jpg Validate in the return to validate the return.

Complete return

When a return passes validation you can mark the return as complete which locks the return from editing. The completed return is ready for ELS lodgment but must first be reviewed by the Agent and approved by your client who must then sign the Electronic Lodgment Declaration (ELD).

Click Complete on the Validation summary window once the return has validated.
