Pre-fill Manager

The Pre-fill Manager enables you to download pre-fill reports for clients using the Practitioner Lodgment Service (PLS). You can view these reports in PDF format, and populate the pre-fill information into the client's Tax return.

Accessing the Pre-fill Manager homepage

  1. In the Toolbar, click the down arrow under the Tax button.

  2. In the list menu, click Pre-fill Manager.


  3. The Pre-fill Manager homepage displays.
  4. If you are using the homepage for the first time, the homepage will display a wizard to set up your Document Manager settings and define where you want pre-fill reports to be saved in your environment. See To update Report File settings.

You can also access the Pre-fill Manager homepage from the Client > Tax Returns tab. In the Tasks bar to the left, click Launch Pre-fill Manager.

Who can use this?

To use the Pre-fill Manager, you must have PLS enabled in your Practice Manager installation. To confirm if your installation has PLS enabled, refer to the release notes for your version of AE/AO, or navigate to Tax > Pre-fill Manager.

For Pre-fill to work, the return must be rolled over to the relevant tax year with a valid Tax File Number (TFN).
