The Restore wizard is intends to assist you to restore data from any drives visible in Windows Explorer to which you have read/write access.
You can only restore data files that are not being used at the time of the restoration. If you attempt restore any files that are in use, you are warned that you do not have unique access to the files. Other users are also prevented from accessing a ledger that is being restored.
To restore data files for a ledger:
Click File > Restore or click on the Restore icon on the Toolbar.

Click Next to open the Select backup window.
From the Backup location dropdown choose the device where the backup is stored.
Click Browse to select the location on the device where the backup file exists.
The files available for backup are listed in theBackups available from this location field.
Select the files to restore and click Next to open the Select destination folder window.
The option to restore only some files should be used with assistance by MYOB Support staff as data files need to be restored with all related files in the set or you will corrupt your ledger.
The Target folder and Directory path fields are pre-filled.
Alternatively, click the ellipsis button to choose which folder to restore the ledger to.
Click Next.
TheCompleting the Ledger Restore Wizardwindow opens.
Click Finish to confirm the action and complete the backup process.
It is imperative that your data is regularly backed up to safeguard against downtime in the event of data corruption or hardware issues.
To assist with data backups, the system provides a new backup management wizard. The wizard allows data to be backed up to any device available to the logged in user. Refer to Backup and Restore .
A backup may be made directly through the SQL interface.
When backing the database selectively, the name of the database to use is <Database Name>.mdf.
Consult your system administrator for information.

For users with full SQL installed, a restore of the database may be made directly through the SQL interface.
Ledger application data must be backed up using Enterprise Manager in order for it to be restored using that application. Conversely an SQL database backed up using Enterprise Manager must be restored using Enterprise Manager. Consult your system administrator on using Enterprise Manager.
