Once the migration process is complete, you can view the migration log. You can view the migration log at any time in the future from the View migration log option on the Tasks bar. As this option will always be enabled for asset registers that contain migrated data.

To view the migration log
  1. Click View migration log on the Tasks bar. The Assets migration log window for the client opens. The migration log lists any errors and warnings that you should correct or take into consideration.
  2. To export the migration log to Microsoft Excel, click the Export to excel button. The contents of the migration log table are exported to Microsoft Excel.
  3. Once you have finished viewing the migration log, click Close. The Assets migration log window closes.

Errors / warnings in the migration log

Errors in the migration log indicate that the data was not migrated.

Warnings in the migration log indicate that the data should be corrected prior to using MYOB Assets Live. Some examples:

  • The original asset is not linked to any control group. The asset is migrated to the temporary control group - non-linked general assets.

  • (Australia) The original asset is linked to an unidentified pool. The assets is migrated as a small business pool.

If you do not agree with how the data was allocated, then delete the asset register and correct the data allocation in MYOB AO Classic and migrate the data again in MYOB Assets Live.
