BankLink Practice and BankLink Books

On 1 February 2019, the servers that deliver bank feeds to BankLink Practice and BankLink Books will be upgraded, due to the retirement of Transport Layer Security version 1.0, commonly known as TLS 1.0.

This ensures we maintain the highest levels of security so that your bank feeds are always exchanged securely.

To continue receiving bank feeds, before 1 February 2019 you'll need to ensure you are using Windows 7 (or later) or Windows Server 2008 R2 (or later).

What versions of Windows are currently supported?

For the BankLink 5.55 release, the following versions of Windows are supported:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows 10
  • Server 2008 R2
  • Server 2012
  • Server 2012 R2
  • Server 2016

If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, you MUST be using Service Pack 1 as well as applying all the necessary Windows updates and security fixes.

What if my version of Windows isn’t supported?

If you're using an unsupported Windows version, from 1st February 2019 you’ll no longer be able to receive bank feeds or connect to BankLink Online.

Some of the errors you might see include:

  • Error: Unable to connect to BankLink Online: Unable to connect to BankLink Online. (152)
  • Error: BankLink Practice encountered a problem while connecting to BankLink Online. Please see the details below or contact MYOB BankLink Support for assistance. Details: Not Found (404)

Please speak to your IT professional about a Windows or Server upgrade.

What do your clients need to do?

If you have BankLink Books clients who download their bank feeds directly, make sure they're aware of these changes and have a supported Windows version.
