When attempting to email from RetailManager, an issue exists where the following error is displayed, then the document will be printed instead of emailed.

We've identified that this issue is caused by a recent Microsoft Windows update (Update KB3102429 “Update that supports Azerbaijani Manat and Georgian Lari currency symbols in Windows”).

To fix this issue

Uninstall Windows Update KB3102429 and prevent it from installing again.

Here's how:

  1. Display the list of programs installed on your computer.
    • In Windows 8 and 10: Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Programs and Features.
    • In Windows 7: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel, then click Programs and Features.
  2. In the left panel, click View installed updates. All Windows updates will be listed.
  3. In the search box in the top-right corner, type KB3102429. The list of updates wil be filtered to only display Update KB3102429.
  4. Right-click Update KB3102429 and choose Uninstall.
  5. Follow the prompts to copmplete the process.
  6. When complete, restart your computer.
  7. After the restart, check for Windows updates.
    • In Windows 8 and 10: Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel then click Windows updates.
    • In Windows 7: Click the Windows Start button and choose Control Panel then click Windows updates.
  8. If Windows doesn't automatically check for updates, click Check for updates.
  9. Click View important updates.
  10. Right-click Update KB3102429 and choose Hide update.

    Click View optional updates (sometimes this update can be listed here). Right-click Update KB3102429 and choose Hide update.
