You'll receive an email from your advisor when they've created a general task for you to complete. This may or may not include supporting documentation.

How to view a general task from your email invitation
Click View Task in the email from your advisor. You'll then be directed to your portal.

A message at the bottom of the email lets you know what email address to use to access your collaborative portal. This address is the one your accountant has on file for you.
Click the appropriate Sign in button to use your existing MYOB account or your Google account.
Enter your username and password, then press Enter.

If you've been given access to more than one collaborative portal, you automatically have access to the appropriate portal.
You'll now have access to the Tasks tab of your portal which will display the specific details of the task that your advisor has assigned to you.
View the details of the task, and open and review any attached documents.
When you've completed the task and you want to add comments or ask questions, enter your queries in the Comment text box of the task details panel and click Send. An email will be sent to your advisor letting them know that you've added a comment to the task.

How to view a general task from the task details
Go to your portal.

You may have already bookmarked the URL, which will be something like https://practicename.portal.accountants/, where where 'practicename' is your advisor's business name.
Find and select the task on the Tasks page to display the task details.
View the information displayed for the general task, and open and review any attached documents.
If you have any questions or you want to comment on the task or attached document(s)documents, enter your queries in the Comment text box of the task details panel and click Send. An email will be sent to your advisor letting them know that you've added a comment to the task.
