If you're ready to show your website to the world, you can use the Tell the world feature to promote it —you can post a message to your social networks, or send an email to your email contacts.
You must register a domain name before you can use the Tell the world feature. Otherwise, you won't see the Tell the world link in the Things to do toolbar. Once you've registered your domain name, the Tell the world link will appear. Note that it will take 24 hours after it's registered for the link to appear. For more information, see Registering domain names (Australia | New Zealand).
If you want to post a message to your social networks, follow the steps below.
- Click Tell the world in the Things to do toolbar.
- On the Tell the world page, we've prepared a message for you. You can replace it with your own message to grab your customers' attention.
You'll then need to select the social networks that you want to post to. If you haven't linked any social network accounts, click Add a ... account to link one. For more information, see Linking social networks to your website.
- Once you're finished, click Post.
If you want to email your contacts and tell them about your new website, you can enter a list of email addresses in the Email my contacts section.
You need to separate each address with a comma, semi-colon or space.
Once you're finished, click Send.
