Standalone individual returns for refunds are used when the taxpayer does not need to lodge an tax return but does need to apply for a Refund of Excess Franking Credits.

How to create a standalone individual return for refunds
  1. Open and login to MYOB AO. See Logging into MYOB AO.
  2. Create a new return or rollover an existing return. See Creating a return.
  3. Click Return Properties on the Tasks bar, or if the return is open click AO-GS-Button-Properties.pngProperties on the Tax return Header bar. The Return Properties window opens.
  4. Select the Standalone refunds checkbox on the General tab. A warning dialog appears.
  5. Click OK to continue.
  6. Click OK.

The return window shows the abbreviated return for refunds. The return consists of the Front cover and item 11 for Dividend information.
