Companies
In MYOB AO, your company details are set up and maintained by your system administrator using Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Internal > Companies.
In MYOB AE, the term company means the different entities within your practice. For example, you may have a company for the main business, one for the partnership and another for the financial advising division.
A number of financial reports are produced by company.
Companies are set up and maintained in MYOB AE by your system administrator using Maintenance > Internal > Companies.
The Company code and Company name are mandatory fields. You must make an entry in these fields.

Select Maintenance > Internal > Companies on the main menu or Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Internal > Companies.

Select Add company on the Tasks bar.

Enter a unique Company code.

Enter the Address and contact details for the company in the second column.

Enter the company’s TFN and ABN (AU) or IRD number (NZ).

Enter a default location for exporting files for this company in the Default export path field.

Enter the M-Powered payee number for the company.

Select Dimension 1 from the drop-down.

Partner
-
Office
-
Department.

Select Dimension 2 from the drop-down, which displays the same options as above.

Enter an M-Powered payee number, if applicable.

Enter the Bank name for the company.

Click OK.
The Maintenance — Companies page opens.
The Maintain Company Details window opens.
The Company code is a mandatory field.
The Company name Is a mandatory field.
If necessary, use the ellipse button to navigate to a suitable location and then enter the default name of the export file in the Browse for Folder window.
The options are:
Dimensions are used for reporting purposes.
To save the changes for the new company.
To edit a company’s details

Select Maintenance > Internal > Companies on the main menu (AE) or Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Internal > Companies.

Select Edit company details on the Tasks bar.

Edit the Company code, if required.

Edit the Company name, if required.

Edit any of the Address and contact details for the company, if required.

(Australia) Edit the company’s TFN and ABN, if required.

(New Zealand) Edit the company’s IRD number, if required.
-
Edit the default location for exporting files for this company in the Default export path field.

(AO Practice Manager) Edit the M-Powered payee number for the company, if required.

Select a different Dimension 1 from the drop-down, if required.

Select a different Dimension 2 from the drop-down, if required.

(AE Practice Manager) Edit the M-Powered payee number, if required.

Edit the Bank name for the company.
-
Edit the associated account number for the company’s bank.

Click OK.
The Maintenance — Companies page opens.
The Maintain Company Details window opens.
The Company code is a mandatory field.
The Company name is a mandatory field.
If necessary, use the ellipse button to navigate to another location and then enter the new default name of the export file in the Browse for Folder window.
Dimensions are used for reporting purposes.
To save the changes for the existing company.
