You can invite an accounting advisor to become a registered user of your MYOB Essentials business at any time. An accounting advisor could be your accountant or any other person that you may want to help you with your business.

Inviting your chosen accounting advisor to become a registered user will allow them access to all of your business information directly via the internet, and enable them to work with you on your books. There’s no need to send any files, and you can continue entering invoices, payments, and so on as normal.

If you haven’t invited your accounting advisor to join MYOB Essentials, you can still send them a file containing all your transactions and account balances, so they can work on your books. For more information see Export for Accountants.

To invite your accounting advisor to access your MYOB Essentials business

In MYOB Essentials, click your business name and choose Invite advisor.
Click Invite now. The Enter your accounting advisor’s email address window appears.

Can't see the Invite now button?
If you've been invited to the MYOB Essentials business as an advisor, you can't invite another advisor - so the Invite now button won't display.
Enter your accounting advisor’s Email address, and click Send.
The invitation is sent to your advisor. A message appears in the Accounting advisor area, showing that the invitation has been sent.

When your advisor accepts their invitation, they'll be prompted to log in with their MYOB account details or create an account.

To remove your accounting advisor’s access to your MYOB Essentials business

If you need to remove an advisor's access, such as when you need to invite a different advisor, complete the following:

In MYOB Essentials, click your business name and choose Invite Advisor.
If your advisor hasn’t yet accepted the invitation you’ve sent them, click Withdraw invitation.
An email is sent to them, cancelling the invitation, and you’ll be able to send a new invitation to another email address.
If your advisor currently has access to your MYOB Essentials business, click Remove access. In the confirmation window, click Yes.
Your accounting advisor’s details disappear from the page, and they will no longer have access to your MYOB Essentials business.

Advisor still listed after removing them? You'll need to contact us quoting your serial number.
