Jobs are only available if you purchased Practice Manager. If you have the features available, the Jobs icon will be visible in the toolbar.

A job is work delegated to an individual and managed on a practice basis. This type of work is often discussed at weekly team WIP meetings.

The Job Manager is designed to assist you maintain and manage jobs and deadlines. It is a deadline management tool which enables you to track the progress of jobs using specified milestones.

Viewing Jobs

Jobs are displayed on the Job Manager page.

To view jobs
  1. Click AO-GS-Button-Jobs.png to open the Job Manager.

  2. Select All Jobs to see all the active jobs for the practice, or select My Jobs to see only jobs assigned to yourself.

Job Milestones

Milestones are displayed on the Job Manager at the top right. They identify a discrete step in a project that highlights when a particular project goal has been reached.

Milestones were included in the data converted from your MYOB AO Classic database. If you need to modify the milestone names to improve their readability in MYOB AO, update the Short Description field in the Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Milestones.

There is only one set of milestones for your practice — and the list of milestones is applicable to all jobs. If a milestone is not applicable to a certain job, the milestone still needs to be completed; otherwise your reporting will be inconsistent.
