BankLink client files have the format .BK5, and to open these files you need to run the setup file bkhandlrsetup.exe. This is done to ensure Windows knows to open .BK5 files with BankLink Practice.

Press F1 in BankLink Practice for more information on this topic - then navigate to Chapter A1: Setting up MYOB BankLink Practice and MYOB BankLink Notes: Enabling. Then you will need to double click on Import and Update on users' workstations.
This setup file needs to be run by an administrator, or a user with administrator access.
Simultaneously press the Windows and E keys on your keyboard (the Windows key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys). The File Explorer window appears.
Go to the BankLink Practice installation folder to display its contents.
Right-click the file bkhandlrsetup.exe and choose Run as administrator.
If prompted, enter administrator credentials. If unsure, please contact your IT support.
Using a Terminal Server?
Run the bkhandlrsetup.exein Install Mode while logged in to the Terminal Services Server as Administrator. This creates the registry entry against all users' profiles.
